Give and get support around quitting
Hello I’m new to this, I’m hoping to chat with others who are just about to quit or have quit vaping, I don’t want to feel like I’m alone in this journey, I’m scared of the nicotine withdrawals since I only did experience that once, and now that I recently threw my vape away (20 min ago), now I’m starting to feel all weird. Hope to read from y’all
@hashirareng91 Welcome to the Ex and congrats on your quit day Glad you found us. No matter the source, nicotine is an addictive chemical so yes it can be hard to quit. The fact that you vape almost anywhere doesn't make it any easier.
The same principles to quit smoking will apply to your quit. It's important to educate yourself about nicotine and have a quit plan. Knowledge and preparation have been made quitting possible for many of us. I never did either in the past and I was never successful. I was planning my quit this time and found the Ex a week before my quit date. I finally learned how to quit and how important support from other quitters can be. Read lots of material on the site. This link is a great place to start.
Quitting Guides
Believe in yourself that you can do it. Approaching your quit one day at a time helps to alleviate much of the anxiety we experience when we think about quitting.
Reinforce your quit by joining many of us on the Daily Pledge.
We're here to support you so reach out anytime you need help, want to share your experience, and to support other quitters.
I'm sure you'll hear from some new quitters, but we're all here for you. There is also a vaping group. Quit Vaping - EX Community
Stay busy and stay close.

I replied on your other post too. I just want to say you don't need to be afraid. Yes, there will be withdrawals but if you know what is coming you can be ready!
Welcome to the EX Community @hashirareng91! My name is Quiana, and I'm part of the EX Team. Congratulations on your decision to quit! We're thrilled to have you join us on this important journey.
Throwing your vape away is a huge step, and it’s completely normal to feel scared, but remember you're definitely not alone. There are so many people going through the same thing, and reaching out like you just did allows people to support you through this journey. I encourage you to join our vaping, where you'll find more discussions on the topic.
You’ve already taken the hardest step by tossing the vape. This community is incredibly supportive, so don’t hesitate to share updates about your quit. We are here to support you!

Thank you for your comment 🙂 I look forward to reading blogs and posts.
Thank you all so much for your support and response. I’m glad I found this page, it’s good to know that I’m not the only one going through this process.
Keep coming back. Distraction is a major key to quitting. I used this website as a distraction when I quit. I spent hours and hours reading old blogs, new blogs, writing blogs, and encouraging other quitters. It makes a difference!
I messed up, I vaped today!! But I keep telling myself that I can do it. I need to make it a happen to keep coming back to this page.
Nicotine Addiction is no joke @hashirareng91 ! Try to separate your voice from the voice of the addiction that seeks to be fed. When the urge comes on, if you think “I want to vape” CHALLENGE the thought, think or say out loud “I don’t want to vape, I have an addiction that wants to be fed”
picture your addiction as a screaming toddler at the store check out line. The addict screams, you give it what it wants it learns to get what it wants by screaming. The way you change that is by denying the reward. Don’t give in. YOU don’t want the nicotine. Separate yourself from the voice of the addiction. That could help! Be ready to challenge the thought and have tools ready to distract your mind and delay the behavior.
