Give and get support around quitting
Just joined I stopped smoking on new year's day been doing pretty good but out of the blue get cravings so got on my phone during one of them found this site.
I have to be honest the site is amazing, I’m not a real big reader so I’m having to go in doses. Thinking about not smoking always makes me feel like smoking. I’m sure that will pass it’s just my mind begging me not to honor my quit day tomorrow. I have one cigerette left and want to go to the store because I have like 12 hours left. Lol
i know it’s all BS mind tricks but at the moment feel like I need to go to a restaurant and start hoarding have smoked cigs out of ashtrays, and “technically” I can still go buy some quilt free it’s not the 22nd yet.
Oh I no that mind set every now and then especially before bed or when I just get up I have that wrestle with my mind so far I've won.
Congratulations on 28 days of freedom. You have come to a point in your quit that you really have to be on guard and learn to protect. It can get a little crazy in the next 100 or less days. So hold on. Come here blog, read, comment.
Sometimes it it is not easy but it is doable by using that principle and educating yourself about nicotine addiction. If you hang around you will see that yes you can and will. Look forward a new way of life that does not include smoking. It is all up to you and what you are willing to do to be smoke free. Quitting smoking requires hard work and determination not to give up. It can be challenging at times but you will learn that it is doable if you adhere to NOPE not one puff ever no matter what.
Start first, by educating yourself about nicotine addiction because education is the key to a successful quit.

Welcome SilverCindy- I'm also a Newbie and So grateful to have found this site!
It's Amazing and has made a huge difference in the 1st. few days. I haven't had anxiety attacks,
I've used my tools I put together in preparation to stand my ground. Even had a couple
bad situations this week. In the past I would have thrown my QUIT AWAY! I didn't do that,
I processed the issue and didn't do my normal Emotional Stuffing. I am already breathing
better, more energy, less chronic pain, also sleeping better. I TOO haven't figure out the in's and outs
of the site. Due mostly to the amount of time, I have to come here. I have added other activities to
my days to keep me busy and then I'm not thinking about smoking. I smoked for 45 years.
For once in my life,I'm being Kind to myself ...so I can RIDE AND STAY ON THE FREEDOM TRAIN.
