Give and get support around quitting
Just a quick note before heading to bed. Wanted to let you know I have returned from Tennessee and am safely back in northern New York State.
The trip, however, was not as expected~ My sons got their heads together and decided they did not feel it was safe for me to fly back home with the increasing corona cases. So, Brian drove me from Tennessee and into Pennsylvania where we met Darren who drove me the rest of the way.
My oldest son Kevin who lives in a different part of NYS was relieved when I called him this morning to tell him of the change in plans.
I am loved. And am so thankful.
First thing in the morning I will drive a few blocks to the vets to pick up Flurry and bring him home...hooray!!
Good night all ~
How wonderful of your kids to do that. Please take care and stay safe!
They are good kids; I'm lucky ~
So glad you are safely home and loved! That was a wonderful thing your sons did for you. I'll bet Flurry is happy too.
Ellen
I'm truly lucky to have these sons.
Home is home, good you are back home safely.
Stay well in current situation.
Self- quarantine at home for awhile. Kids to bring in groceries, etc. for the time-being.
So happy you are home safe. Your sons are very loving, I'm very fortunate to have loving daughters.
xo
Thank you my dear friend~
An update: While Darren occasionally brings a few forgotten items to my front porch for me, I have subscribed to "Instacart" and order / pay for my groceries online. They text me when the order is filled and will be leaving for my place. The shopper then puts my groceries on my front porch ring the bell and leaves. This way I don't have to depend on Darren or his wife Jeannette to do my shopping. Somehow makes me feel more independent..
